The Corfu Trail
The Corfu Trail is a long-distance footpath which runs the length of the island. As the geographical centre of the route and easily accessible from Corfu Town, Pelekas is an ideal starting point for walks to both the north and the south.

Maps
Interactive maps showing both the village and the surrounding region as well as maps of the island and mainland Greece.

A tour of central-west Corfu
Hlary Whitton-Paipeti shows how you can avoid the most popular haunts and turn instead to the countryside, the villages and the lesser known beaches. Even in August, you can find peace as you explore the central-west area of the island.

Natural History
There is a wealth and diversity of flora and fauna in and around Pelekas. For those keen to observe the beauty of nature at close quarters, it is a paradise for botanists, ornithologists, zoologists and photographers.

Triklino Vineyard
The vineyard is on a hill with a panoramic view of central Corfu. Local varieties of grapes are grown around a restored building in which traditional oil and wine production tools are displayed. The aim is to introduce visitors to the agricultural tradition of Corfu and offer an opportunity to taste local wines. Triklino Vineyard is on the road to Pelekas, 6 km from Corfu Town.

Bus Timetable
There is a regular bus service throughout the day from Pelekas to Corfu Town.
